An LED driver is a power device that regulates the energy to an LED or a string of LEDs. Unlike traditional lamps, LEDs involve constant and accurate current regulation. Lacking any ideal driver for led lights, the LEDs can overheat, flicker, or burn out prematurely as a result of voltage fluctuations. The LED driver works as a transformer, transforming higher voltage AC power from the mains into the low voltage DC power that LEDs require to work efficiently.
